Frankie Johnson


About Frankie

Frankie Johnson is a writer, actress, and improviser. She can be seen regularly with the team, Skycopter, which hosts the weekly show "Act One" at the Peoples Improv Theatre. She is also a member of the sketch collective BoogieManja, currently in residence at the PIT Loft.

In addition to writing sketch, she co-wrote and starred in the comedic play Frankie and Sarah's Gone with the Wind Fever Dream with fellow PIT performer Sarah Morgan Ashey. She was also the librettist for the musical dark comedy The Hills Are Alive! (2012 FringeNYC and 2013 NYMF) and has had her works premiered at several venues around NYC, including The Romulus Linney Theatre, The PIT, Theatre 80, The Duplex, and The Tank.

As an actress, she has been seen in various productions in regional theatre and in NYC. She has studied improv and sketch at The PIT and UCB and holds a degree from Vanderbilt University, where she studied music and theatre.
