James Bruffee

About James

James is an improviser, videomaker, musician and teacher living in Brooklyn, New York.  He currently performs with PIT house team, Title of Team, Magnet Theater house team, Zoom! and indie group, Bee Hammer.  His video work has been featured in Gothamist, Grantland, USA Today, Refinery29, WFAN and The NY Post. He has performed in local bands at NYC venues such as Mercury Lounge, Webster Hall, BAM, Brooklyn Bowl and The Knitting Factory. James played with the improv group "GPIG" while attending Georgetown University and is thrilled to be reunited with the improv comedy community after a much-too-long hiatus. He has thoroughly enjoyed taking classes and teching shows at The PIT, and watching the many talented improvisers who perform there. James teaches Media Literacy at an elementary school in Manhattan, poisoning the minds of impressionable children and/or helping them express themselves through their own videos, music recordings, and other odd creative projects. He hopes you find your stay at this website comfortable.
