About the class

"Satire is a lesson, parody is a game."
-Vladimir Nabokov

Would you like to learn how to speak truth to power while digging for belly laughs? The class will help students find expression for their frustrations with the world and society through a comedic voice, sharpen their choice of targets (and their punchlines), and ask the right questions to help their comedy stand the test of time. By the end of the class, students will learn how to analyze an issue and pinpoint the way to make people laugh, think and truly make a difference through comedy.
