DROP IN: SUNDAY

It happens to every improviser: we get stuck in our heads and scenes start to feel impossibly difficult. This class will give you the tools not only get unstuck, but to prevent yourself and your scene partners from ever feeling lost or confused. Exercises will focus on the principles of clarity, emotion, and pattern to create richly textured comedic theater. We will also dip into film, history, music, and literature to find examples of the power of these principles at work across the creative spectrum. Get ready to get out of your head and into your scene!

The Drop-in classes at The PIT are ongoing classes open to ALL improvisers. Students and non-students alike from all different improv backgrounds and levels are welcome to show up to this class to examine various aspects of scenework and longform improvisation.

Drop-in classes are first come, first-served and our class maximum is 16. We sell the class out when we reach that limit to maintain a comfortable classroom experience where everyone gets a decent amount of playing time.

All of our classes begin on time. After 15 minutes, students will not be allowed entry into the class. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we recommend coming back another time to attend one of our other drop-in classes. The schedule of drop-in classes is: Fridays, 12-3pm & 7-10pm; Saturdays & Sundays, 3-6pm.

All of the rules in our official course enrollment policy that can or would apply to these ongoing classes do apply.
