Guerrilla Comedy in the Real World

About the class

Jason and Davram (aka "The Good Liars") have lied their way into some of America’s most passionate debates to expose just how absurd some arguments are. Whether they’re posing as PR for a multi-billion dollar corporation, a conservative news organization for kids or as gun nuts in Florida; The Good Liars can lie their way into any issue.

The duo came together in the fall of 2011 when they posed as investment bankers protesting the Occupy Wall Street movement. Together, they formed the 1%’s counter protest: Occupy Occupy Wall Street. What started as one video quickly turned into an actual movement. Posing as bankers, the duo was featured by CNN, MSNBC, The Washington Post—among other media outlets—giving an outrageously blunt and honest voice to the silent 1%. The Good Liars are proud to present a course in political comedy entitled "Guerrilla Comedy In The Real World". This class will prepare students for the process of conceptualizing, developing, producing, shooting, editing and ultimately showing their work.  In other words, The Good Liars are going to help you bring your comedy projects to the streets. Jason and Davram have a wealth of knowledge stemming from their successes and failures in the field and are excited to share that so others may turn the real world into fertile ground for comedy.
