Writing Your TV Pilot Intensive
About the class
What makes a great pilot? How is a writer supposed to build a world that will last for 10 seasons in one half hour (or hour)? In this class we will examine the building blocks of storytelling for the small screen, as well as what makes a great pilot and how to apply that to our own writing. We will look at show bibles, pitch decks and pilots to help us examine how pilots are shaped, written and sold. Then students will put the lessons to the test by beginning work on their own pilot and pitch deck.
