Happy Hour!

The jam we've all been waiting for! Happy Hour! is The PIT's answer to all those out there thinking, "I wanna see a free show at 6:00 on Fridays with $3 drinks where I might be randomly picked to jump up onstage to perform without a script." There are four rotating formats with different hosts. So Happy Hour! never falls down and in a crumpled heap in the john, it just stays buzzed and bubbly.

Code Duello: Hamilton & Burr

Alexander Hamilton. Aaron Burr. The Duel.

It was an affair of honor. However, Burr and Hamilton's animosity ran much deeper than political rivalry. The two men, whose early letters indicate that they were once friendly, were brought to conflict over a simple insult. Historians still debate over the true source of their mutual hatred. Code Duello: Hamilton & Burr dares to solve the mystery that biographers cannot! Boston improvisers Neil Reynolds and Matt Tucker don the wigs and waistcoats of Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton, improvising the lives of our two angriest founding fathers. Come witness the most hilarious postcolonial comedy since Thomas Jefferson's ill-fated production of The Country Wife!

Centralia: The Really Great Depression

Centralia returns with their hit show, The Really Great Depression, an improvisational journey through the new Hard Times. Centralia weaves its surreal and hilarious tales inspired in part by market nosedives, corporate bailouts and bank implosions. As we teeter on the brink of new Hoovervilles, breadlines and asking a brother to spare a dime, Centralia delivers its patented brand of script-less scenes, songs and mayhem. Matt Higgins, Jay Rhoderick, and Kevin Scott have been performing together for more than a decade, beginning with the legendary Burn Manhattan. The Really Great Depression is the latest step in their evolution, and it features the amazing musical talents of Stuart Bogie (Antibalas, TV On The Radio, Fela).

"Go prepared to think as well as laugh. And then go again, as often as you like, because each show is a new revelation." — Joshua Tanzer, Offoffoff.com

"I love to watch these guys because they're smart, they're witty, they're genuinely funny, and they're perpetually on the edge." — Martin Denton, nytheatre.com
