Happy Hour!

The jam we've all been waiting for! Happy Hour! is The PIT's answer to all those out there thinking, "I wanna see a free show at 6:00 on Fridays with $3 drinks where I might be randomly picked to jump up onstage to perform without a script." There are four rotating formats with different hosts. So Happy Hour! never falls down and in a crumpled heap in the john, it just stays buzzed and bubbly.

Christina Casa: Don't Cry Out Loud

With an appalling lack of sensitivity, Christina Casa brings us five human characters (and one feline) in deep emotional distress. From crippling loneliness to actual cripples, this show leaves no stone unturned in its earnest search for creepy crawlies and things that go bump in the night. Make your therapist proud and face your demons. Directed by Lorie Steele.

Best New Artist

Do you hate long, tedious, cloying and annoying musicals? Sure you do. What about a musical that's completely improvised from the accompaniment down to the dancing with people you've seen do "normal" improv hundreds of times? Sounds a lot better... It takes years to write your average Broadway musical, come see Best New Artist do it in 35 minutes. It will be a musical you love, even if you hate musicals. Best New Artist is Chris Grace, Stacey Higgins, T.J. Mannix, Sarah Nowak, Desiree Nash, Greg Portz, and Ashley Ward.

What Philosophy Majors Do After College

"What Philosophy Majors Do After College" is comedian Jennifer Dziura's one-woman show of hilarity and the greats of Western thought. After graduating from Dartmouth with a degree in philosophy, Jennifer held job titles including nude art model, egg donor to a gay man, subject of medical studies -- and finally, comedian. The show includes Jennifer's "History of Western Philosophy in Fifteen Minutes," an irreverent romp through the great thinkers from Socrates to Sartre.

Reverse 5: The Scene

THE SCENE is an evening of improvised one-act plays. Don't be thrown if these funny, sorrowful, weird and powerful scenes are unlike any theater you've seen before. That's the idea. It's all improvised.

Blending parlor drama and surreal comedy, THE SCENE is hosted by monoscene-enthusiasts Reverse 5, four (yes, four) men from around the country who have been tinkering with one-act improvisation together since 2008. Their tales of fractured families and monstrous man-children are sure to chill and delight.

Reverse 5 is Dan Hodapp, Tim Martin, Ben Mauk, and Micah Sherman.
