Happy Hour!

The jam we've all been waiting for! Happy Hour! is The PIT's answer to all those out there thinking, "I wanna see a free show at 6:00 on Fridays with $3 drinks where I might be randomly picked to jump up onstage to perform without a script." There are four rotating formats with different hosts. So Happy Hour! never falls down and in a crumpled heap in the john, it just stays buzzed and bubbly.

Think Pound: Blame The Audience

Some artists are saddled with the burden of true genius. So it is with Think Pound. Creators of brilliant, visionary comedy works so transcendent they can hardly be called mere sketches, they appeal to those who are ahead of the curve, but confuse and threaten the unwashed masses. In other words - if you don't laugh, you have only yourself to blame.

Oh, and we almost forgot, this show features men dressed as women and women dressed as ponies.

Political Subversities

A cabaret of darkly funny songs and topical sketch comedy about culture, politics and the crazy F-ed up world we're living in. After sold out performances at Joe's Pub and The Culture Project, this new incarnation of the ever-evolving show arrives at The People's Improv Theatre. Like The Daily Show... only nothing like it.

"The team's singular vision, style and point of view have set it apart from the ever-increasing number of sketch groups currently clamoring for the New York spotlight. Harvard Sailing Team doesn't fight for the stage; it owns it."-TimeOut NY

Long Division + Reverse 5

Assembled a year ago to prove the Poincaré conjecture, Long Division's scientists stay (somewhat) sane by performing longform improv comedy pervaded with death, sex, and math. Their last show will be December 9th, 2017. Long Division performs only in New York City.

Reverse 5 is an improv comedy ensemble that performs a monoscene: a single scene focused on relationship development and commitment to character. The members of Reverse 5 are veterans of improv theaters in Chicago, Boston, and Washington DC and now live, study and perform in New York City.
