Happy Hour!

The jam we've all been waiting for! Happy Hour! is The PIT's answer to all those out there thinking, "I wanna see a free show at 6:00 on Fridays with $3 drinks where I might be randomly picked to jump up onstage to perform without a script." There are four rotating formats with different hosts. So Happy Hour! never falls down and in a crumpled heap in the john, it just stays buzzed and bubbly.

Skinny Bitch Jesus Meeting

From the womb of a beautiful fish-beast these two ladies were spawned. They suckled upon the cement bosom of New York Titty, learning to laugh while eating broken glass. A sketch comedy show that turns daisies into daggers and filth into fancy. They've rocked the Ladies Are Funny Festival 2009 and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, so don't miss their return to NYC!

In the Dark: An Improvised Film Noir with The Wilhelm

There's a silhouette from a streetlamp, an ethereal whistle in the alleyway, and a single thread of smoke rising from a cigarette-or a gun. This October, PIT house team The Wilhelm performs a fully improvised "film noir" on stage, one populated by femme fatales and hard-boiled private dicks. With an eye for detail and a flair for the dramatic, the men and women of The Wilhelm take you across the threshold of your world and into a dark realm of crime and seduction-without forgetting their sense of the absurd. Directed by Kevin Scott.

Ridgefield Middle School Talent Nite

Ridgefield Middle School Talent Nite is a loving tribute to the middle school talent show and all the passion/ugly it tries so hard to contain. The play is set on the night of Ridgefield's first annual talent show, a showcase of growing bodies and big dreams. From the highly-choreographed lip-sync duo to the ex-convict janitorial staff member to the happily unmarried assistant principal with an affinity for shapeless dresses, Ridgefield Middle School Talent Nite is a play for anyone who ever thought it couldn't get any better than orange soda and slow-dancing. Created and performed by two people who like themselves more now that they are no longer in middle school.

Scott Bateman's Atom Age Vampire

A stripper, a pirate and an evil scientist collide in Atom Age Vampire, the animated feature film debut by Scott Bateman (Salon.com, PlumTV). Scott has taken the actual soundtrack from the awful 1960 horror film "Atom Age Vampire" and has given it all new animated visuals. Tonight, Scott Bateman will present his film to the public for the first time as a "work-in-progress" and take audience questions. Don't miss this special first-time screening!
