Reverse 5: The Scene

THE SCENE is an evening of improvised one-act plays. Don't be thrown if these funny, sorrowful, weird and powerful scenes are unlike any theater you've seen before. That's the idea. It's all improvised.

Blending parlor drama and surreal comedy, THE SCENE is hosted by monoscene-enthusiasts Reverse 5, four (yes, four) men from around the country who have been tinkering with one-act improvisation together since 2008. Their tales of fractured families and monstrous man-children are sure to chill and delight.

Reverse 5 is Dan Hodapp, Tim Martin, Ben Mauk, and Micah Sherman.

DYSTOPIA GARDENS

Will Nunziata and Jerry Miller (both formerly of NYC sketch powerhouse THE ROYAL WE) present a brand new two-man show which serves a love-letter to the dystopian films of the 70's, 80's and 90's. DYSTOPIA GARDENS is a sketch-play that takes place in the distant future where all citizens live in city size domes protecting them from the scorched Earth. Will & Jerry each play about 20 different characters who range from The Leader on high to the fast-food-pill worker to the toilet-robots below. Imagine if THX-1138 & Brazil had a baby boy, and Logan's Run & Demolition Man had baby girl, and those kids grew up and in 1984 they had sex in a pool of funny. DYSTOPIA GARDENS would be the child they put up for adoption.
