Marina And Nicco

Marina and Nicco are TV/screen-writers and comedic playwrights. As the duo "Marina & Nicco" their work has been featured in The New Yorker's "Shorts and Murmurs," on Comedy Central, and Funny or Die, and on Morgan Spurlock’s Call Bullshit-- in addition to their regular live shows at major comedy theaters in New York. They recently completed a six-month playwriting residency at The Peoples Improv Theater, for which they wrote and produced new plays each month. Of these plays, Room 4 was a New York Times critic's pick and another, Unpacking: A Ghost Story Told in the Dark, was produced as part of HERE's Sublet Series. They are currently developing SMÜCHR a new web series premiering on BRIC TV this fall.

The Corduroy Commandos

The Corduroy Commandos two man sketch show crackles with acerbic social satire and lampoons pop culture in a pastiche of everything from Shakespeare to film noir, from Maya Angelou to Twilight to Tolkien to comic books and beyond. 

Robbie and Eric have been making comedy together since 2010. Their sitcom Herowood Boulevard was a semi-finalist in the 2015 Final Draft Big Break Contest, and their full length musical parody "Les Midge: The Hobbit Musical" won best musical at San Diego Fringe and played at the 2016 San Diego Comic Con. They have written, acted, produced and directed over 50 videos for their youtube channel including three web series.

Eric recently wrote and directed the full length political satire, "Fox News The Musical"

The Peoples Improv Theater is proud to present the sixth annual NYC Sketch Fest, and we are ready to get the party started celebrating 15 years of comedy at The PIT and 6 years of bringing the best sketch comedy from around the country together in one place.  Past years have seen some of the best, most hysterical and most innovative sketch teams in the nation under one roof and this year promises to be even bigger!  So start stretching, put out two bowls of food for the cat and get ready for four days of sketch madness at the 2017 NYC Sketch Fest!
