About the show

Pillars of the Community

Pillars of the Community develop each of their sketch shows starting with one thing: their hearts and their breath. From the first heartbeat, life itself drips with artifice. Pillars peel back these linens of the human canvas to gently complicate their subjects, producing caricature at once constructivist and ductile. In their latest revue simply titled "Birth," Pillars turns a funhouse mirror on the infancy of mankind, and the fallacy of the life cycle. When the curtain falls, will you cry like a baby, or laugh like the dead? Please enjoy.

Cups & a Half

Cups & A Half wants you to know that we have the same modern anxieties everyone else: Is God a man? What is Bigfoot's favorite food? Is it true that your funeral is the most important day of your life? How much gilding is too much gilding?

We're just like you. Sure, we're an all-bitch sketch comedy team out of Philadelphia. But we're made of the same stuff as other humans... We've got skin and muscles and rows and rows of horrible, gnashing teeth...

Oh. You don't have terrifying sets of chompers to spare? Well, that's okay. Come see ours.

Our current run of sketches explore religion, gender, and the future of humanity. Our characters are trying their very best against all odds.

Cups & A Half: Sisterly comedy from the city of brotherly love.
