ALEXIS SAARELA hails from Minneapolis, MN. After a long hiatus from theater, during which studied history and women’s studies at Smith College, she found herself living in New York, working in publishing, and itching to get back into the improv world. She has trained at The PIT, The Magnet Theater and the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, under such teachers as Armando Diaz, Jean Villepique, Ed Herbstman, James Eason, Michael Delaney, Christina Gausus, and more. Alexis has performed with many groups in NYC, including The Imposters, The Yes Andersens, and Focus, and has appeared at the Boston Improv Festival, The Montreal Improv Festival, The Ladies Are Funny Festival (Austin, TX), Duofest, The Philadelphia Improv Festival, and The Women In Comedy Festival (Boston, MA). She currently can be seen as part of The PIT house team Someday the Cake as well as with the ladies of Taco Supreme.
