Ashley Wren Collins

ASHLEY WREN COLLINS won “Outstanding Leading Actress in a Musical” and received a nomination for “Outstanding Choreography” in Mother Eve’s Secret Garden of Sensual Sisterhood at the Midtown International Theatre Festival.  She starred opposite Malcolm McDowell and Timothy Bottoms in the movie Pound of Flesh, which aired on Showtime this past fall.  Ashley recently produced her first feature film, Chasing Taste, currently in post-production, and is the author of 2 books: Produce Your Own Damn Movie! with Lloyd Kaufman (Focal Press, 2009) and The Cheap Bastard’s Guide to Los Angeles (Globe Pequot Press, 2011).  She has written for Moviemaker Magazine and has an entertainment blog with The Huffington Post.  Ashley choreographed the production of Honestly Abe, currently running off-Broadway.  She holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MFA from the American Repertory Theater/Moscow Art Theater School Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University.  www.ashleywrencollins.com
