Charla Lauriston

CHARLA LAURISTON is an improv and stand-up comedian based in Harlem. Charla performs stand-up all around town, is co-founder and 1/6 of the Day Camp Kids, an indie improv team, and a member of Mrs. Jones, a cast of hilarious all black female improvisors who host a monthly variety show at the PIT. Charla was born in Haiti (exotic) but grew up mostly in Boston (cold) where she was known as Chaaahlah (weird). For the record her name is pronounced “Shar-luh”. She went to a small Catholic college four blocks away from Fenway Park and never went to a single Red Sox game. She was afraid to reveal that deep dark secret until she moved to New York where it was safe.
