JAMES RICH has lived and worked in New York City as a performer for over a decade.  He originally moved to NYC from Tennessee, where he earned his BA in Theater Arts at The University of the South.  James has also studied acting extensively at The Michael Howard Studios.  Various career highlights include: writing and producing and original play (“Kundalini) at The Kraine Theater, acting and co-producing a friend’s play (“Southgate”) at Theater 3 in Times Square, warming up audiences at Blue Man Group as a Tubetalker, and performing improv for 24 hours straight for charity.  James has performed improv/stand up/sketch comedy at Carolines on Broadway, The New York Comedy Club, The Upright Citizens Brigade (Del Close Marathon), Galapagos ArtSpace, 78th Street Lab, Broadway Comedy Club and countless other spaces.  Outside of New York City, James has performed at The Charleston, Baltimore, Providence, Philadelphia, and Chicago Improv Festivals.  Since 2006 James has studied and performed a lot of improv at The Peoples Improv Theater.  He’s performed on 3 different House Teams at The PIT including SidViscous!, Tomahawk and currently with Local 154.
