Jen Sanders hails from Fort Collins, Colorado, and has been performing theater, improv, storytelling and sketch in New York City since 2004. Having trained at Magnet and UCB in New York City, and at Annoyance Theater in Chicago, she has studied improv with some seriously gifted people. In addition to her powerful musical improv house team THEM, she performs with Screw Doggies at the PIT, and at Magnet Theater in The Made Up Musical, Mint Condition, and Choral Rage. She made her musical theater debut in Justin Moran’s “POPE: The Musical,” in 2010. Two of her groups have been selected to perform at Ars Nova’s ANT FEST, and her two-woman show (written and performed with Emlyn Morinelli) made a splash at the 2009 NYC International Fringe Festival. A huge fan of the downtown performing arts scene, Jen hosts and performs in TELL ALL, a monthly storytelling show at Bowery Poetry Club (for which she also serves on the board). She has studied experimental theater at NYU’s TISCH School of Arts, holds a bachelor’s degree in Russian Studies, and a master’s degree in Studio Art.
