KEVIN SHIMKO has been doing improv for so long that his mother used to drive him to shows. But, that was a beard and a half ago. Now, he can be seen in the incredibly goofy and entertaining three man improv team, Pyramid Scheme. Kevin got his start performing with the Charlotte Comedy Theater in Charlotte, NC. He became a member of their house team at the beardless age of 15. Then Kevin went to Marymount Manhattan College here in New York City, where he was a member and president of their improv troupe, Nutz & Boltz. He also appeared in a number of plays including The House of Blue Leaves and The Bald Soprano. In May of 2011, he graduated Marymount with a BFA in Acting and has performed with the Hip to Hip Theatre, The American Globe Theatre, and The Pearl Theatrecompanies since graduating. He is also a member of the short form improv team, Say What? NYC Improv, which performs at the Parkside Lounge. Now, fully bearded, Kevin continues to audition and perform so he can move closer to achieving his goal of being the greatest actor, improviser, and beard-wearer of all time.
