PHIL WELLS is a writer and actor from near North Bergen, NJ.  He is the author of “Dudesong,” an epic poem translation of “The Big Lebowski,” and “Try The Veal,” an anthology for which Phil donates all profits to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.  As an improviser and actor, Phil has performed on house teams at the PIT for more than three years, including stints on the groups SidViscous!, Punch and Senator.  As a member of SidViscous! he has been a featured performer at comedy festivals in New York, Boston, Providence, Baltimore, Charleston, and Frederick, Md.  His improv duo, Phil & I (with Jacob Brown), was the grand champion of the 2009 Queen of Sharks Improv Chompetition.  Phil has studied improv at The PIT with Ali Farahnakian, Kurt Braunohler, Matt Donnelly, Kevin Scott, Matt Higgins, and Dion Flynn. He has also studied with Alan Arkin, Michael Delaney, Miles Stroth, Kapoot Clown Theater and The School for Mime Theater in Gambier, Ohio.
