Whether you’re going to Edinburgh or even thinking about performing in the largest Arts festival in the world, the 4-hour Edinburgh Fringe Starter Kit workshop is back for a second year to get you primed and pumped. Venue and festival applications begin in January! So, with 2,800 other shows vying for attention, NOW is the time to get all the info you need to save valuable time and money down the line. We’ll explore an overview of the Fringe, costs, budgeting, choosing a venue, free vs. ticketed, using social media, crowd-funding, choosing PR rep, lodging, creating the perfect blurb and show image, timelines, and a myriad of other vital tips and resources. Past Ed Fringe attendees will also be on hand to answer questions. Led by award-winning PIT faculty member Peter Michael Marino – who received 5-star reviews, “best of” nods, and a slew of media attention for his solo comedy, “Desperately Seeking the Exit,” in 2012 & 2013 Edinburgh Fringe. www.SeekingTheExit.com

PETER MICHAEL MARINO is the recipient of the 2010 & 2011 Backstage Readers Choice Award for Favorite Comedy Teacher for his Flying Solo classes at The PIT. “Pete condenses what could be an overwhelming amount of material into something easily digestible!” – Veronica Elizabeth (Comedian, Ed Fringe 2012 & 2013)

“There is no other seminar that gives this kind of insight into producing and performing your show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.  Peter Michael Marino unveils all the mysteries, helps you outline a direct plan of action, and along with a panel of professionals who have done it before, answers any question you might have about the largest arts festival in the world.  There are few resources as valuable as this class for gaining perspective to make your show a success.” – Molly Morris (producer Long Distance Affair, Ed Fringe 2013)

“EVERYTHING I learned about going to the Edinburgh Fringe, I learned from Peter Michael Marino. He is informed, experienced, and fun.”   – Bill Bowers (Ed Fringe 2103)

“Sign up for this workshop right now! I’m not kidding. This workshop is a game-changer. We were blown away by the content Peter shared: detailed lists, recommendations, budgets, venues, personal experiences, and the hard-won wisdom of the Edinburgh Fringe veterans he brought in for a panel discussion. I’ve attended many one-day workshops that were light on content and big on unfocused discussions; Peter’s Starter Kit is the exact opposite. I can say unequivocally that the Edinburgh Fringe Starter Kit was the best investment we could have made in evaluating whether the Edinburgh Fringe was appropriate for our show.” – Scott Slavin (Award-winning director ‘Naked in Alaska’)

“Pete Marino knows everything and everyone at The Festival Fringe. His advice was incredibly helpful and honest. His workshop is worth every cent, and is very highly recommended.” – Penny Jackson (Prize-winning playwright of SAFE – Ed Fringe 2013)
