  It's a musical comedy double feature with Kwok & Balls and Squirm & Germ! Kwok & Balls: Jen Kwok (Comedy Central, MTV, Date an Asian) is a velvety voiced comedian who writes catchy songs about effed-up things. Tonight, Kwok performs songs, stories and sketches about all our greatest fears while backed by The Balls, her brave and hairy band. Squirm & Germ (Tim Girrbach and Rodney Umble): Devouring the mic and blurring the lines between hip-hop and comedy, Squirm and Germ (ANT Fest at Ars Nova, UCBeast, The Apollo) ignite a raucous and hilarious party with songs about everything from lobsters to naps.

Being in your head has a terrible reputation in improv circles. This workshop is all about being in your head at the top of the scene (a good thing) and then using the information to truly play out of your head for the remainder. One exercise, one technique. Adding pattern recognition to your bag of improv tricks will help you find the comedy faster no matter the form.

The "Anatomy of a 1-Liner: Writing Monologue and Roast Jokes" interactive seminar teaches students the various categories and structures of jokes used in monologues and roasts. Using this organized approach, students will participate in exercises that enable them to improve their current jokes and to write new ones from the latest daily newspaper.
