  We don't like to call ourselves Nerd Comedy, but we seem to have been labeled as such. We do sketches about what we know --comics, cartoons and literary classics. Our shows are tight and crisp but full of energy and fun. We also are known to make excellent use of projector- and powerpoint-slideshow technology. Mon Frere is AJ Shraeder, Al-Don Schraeder, Bob Beshere, John McIntosh, John Chenoweth, and Mat Schantz | Web site AND Batman is detained or otherwise unavailable to help the citizens of Gotham. This has nothing to do with his love of scrambled eggs, toast, coffee and bacon. Who will fill his shoes? Who will take advantage of the situation? Criminals? Possibly! What about comedians? Maybe! Impressionists? Yes! The Quanrudes' "Got Ham? A Batman Sketch Show" tackles the tough topics of our day, including time machines, Denny's, nudity, hard to pronounce comedy-troupe names, cheese and bats. Patterns in Everything

June 21st (One-Day Workshop)

Being in your head has a terrible reputation in improv circles. This workshop is all about being in your head at the top of the scene (a good thing) and then using the information to truly play out of your head for the remainder. One exercise, one technique. Adding pattern recognition to your bag of improv tricks will help you find the comedy faster no matter the form.

Anatomy of a 1-Liner: Writing Monologue & Roast Jokes

June 25th (One-Night Workshop)

The "Anatomy of a 1-Liner: Writing Monologue and Roast Jokes" interactive seminar teaches students the various categories and structures of jokes used in monologues and roasts. Using this organized approach, students will participate in exercises that enable them to improve their current jokes and to write new ones from the latest daily newspaper.

Ever feel like you suffer from multiple personalities? Why not put them to work! In this character building class, you will learn how to cultivate fully developed and realistic characters through a blend of classic mask techniques & improvisational games. This class will not only make you a character connoisseur, but help you contextualize them for the stage, screen and even auditions.
