The JAM is a new approach to improvised performance in which Gary employes techniques to develop, flesh-out and expand relationships between characters. Even for the finest actors, there are moments where split second choices make all the difference in performance. This workshop frees the actor to make the right choices -- by committing to the unknown, getting out of her head, and being in the present moment.

Musicality and Scenework

June 1st-2nd, (Two-Day Workshop)

Using music to inspire scene work both internally and externally. Developing a musicality to your scenes as well as making up music / songs inside of your format. We will look at the concept of tempo and develop and understanding of how music can lead to unspoken agreement for greater joy and ease of play. We will be beatboxing, freestyling, listening, sharing, making noises you never thought you'd make and moving a lot.
