Andrew Farmer is an actor, writer and improvisor based in New York City. As a performer, Andrew has appeared all over, from the Bleecker Street Theater to Lincoln Center. His most recent work playing Carl Sagan in The Aggrocrag Company’sHello From The Children of Planet Earth was lauded by the Philadelphia Inquirer as “excellent” and “astoundingly excellent” by Staged. Other recent acting credits includeAlligator Summer (New York Fringe), Ivanoc (The Tank) and Up the Great and Shining Sky(dir. Rachel Chavkin.) As a writer, his plays have appeared at The Cherry Pit, The Tank, The Cell and Theatre 80. His play Our Farm made it’s Off-Broadway debut in March and begins it’s national tour this January in Philadelphia. Other writing credits include Hands (Southeastern Theater Conference’s Best New Play Award), The Fall of Cafe Mudafier to the Toltecs (Howl Festival) and Tom’s Nightmare (Playwrights Horizons Theater School). Also, one time, he broke his back on a roller-coaster. Absolutely true.
