Jena Friedman is a stand up comedian, actor, writer and filmmaker. She is currently a correspondent for National Geographic Explorer and has worked as a correspondent for Vice, as a field producer for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and has written for Late Show with David Letterman and The New Yorker. She has appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert's 2016 Election Night SpecialThe Chris Gethard Show 2016 Election Special, the Netflix 2016 campaign trail mocumentary UndecidedThe Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, @Midnight with Chris Hardwick and The Jim Gaffigan Show.  

She graduated from Northwestern University in 2005 with a BA in Anthropology. In 2007, she wrote The Refugee Girls Revue, a satire inspired by American Girl dolls. The play earned critical acclaim in the 2008 New York Fringe Festival and had a successful run off-broadway.  In 2010, she received a cease and desist letter from The New York Times for parodying their wedding videos. The parody, entitled "Ted and Gracie", has since become a popular web series.

Jena can be seen performing stand up comedy around the world and in NYC at such venues as The Pit, UCB and The Comedy Cellar. Her critically acclaimed stand up special, American Cunt, is available on Seeso, Amazon and as of January 20, on iTunes.
