Matthew WJ Mitchell hails from the Chicagoland suburbs, with his home being Naperville, Illinois, also the home of the great Bob Odenkirk. But surprisingly Matt never studied improv in Chicago.
Matt moved to NYC Summer 2015 needing a complete change in his life. The PIT and improv gave Matt exactly what he needed. Matt started going to every jam and drop-in improv class he could, became a tech intern and finally started taking classes, and was placed on the house team Shark Dance Summer season 2017, and now he is so, so excited to play with The Rockefellers every Monday at 7 pm.
Matt is an actor, improviser, writer, theater tech, and all around decent guy. You can follow his instagram @matthewwjmitchell if you fancy, and you can see Matt and his fellow PITizens in the documentary film Generation Iron 2. Matt wrote and acted in the short film he made with his bff Kevin Hoffman, titled A Nice Day.
