About Rebecca

Becca Foresman is a playwright, producer, improviser, and comedy writer. While she has worked in various fields of journalism—The New YorkerFeministingWNYC: Studio 360—comedy and playwriting remain Becca's core passion and pursuit. She has written, produced, performed, and toured her plays in San Francisco, New York, Florence, and Rome. Her stories have selected for finalist-round competition at The Moth GrandSLAMs, and her comedic voiceover work has been featured on The New Yorker Out Loud and Imaginary Worlds podcasts. In addition to her improv and sketch training at the PIT, Becca has ten years of international training in clowning, commedia dell'arte, Lecoq movement technique, and mask work. She has collaborated and performed with the Philadelphia-based Pig Iron Theater Company and Headlong Dance in devised physical theater pieces, and trained with master teachers Giovanni Fusetti, Philippe Gaulier, and Christopher Bayes.
