About the show

It's SNL for weirdos -- If Rocky Horror did The Vagina Monologues, you'd get Catya McMullen and Scott Klopfensteins deeply irreverent, immensely human and raucous variety event.

The show features short solo pieces, comedy sketches, rapping from Catyas alter ego Chihuahua Fancy and original songs from ska legend Reel Big Fish's Scott Klopfenstein. Each version of WE ARE ANIMALS is completely original material and this time the theme is sex (in every which way, shape and form). McMullen always chooses her actors first and writes specifically for each of them, so the result is an evening of hilarious, heartbreaking and personal stories about our deepest wants and their roles in our everyday lives.

Pervious versions of the show have been seen at The Brick, HERE Arts Center and Two Moon Art House.
