About the show
Blue Panther Productions presents award-winning comedian Dylan Brody in his new solo show, “Dylan Brody's Driving Hollywood, directed by Nancy Carlin. The show's international tour takes off in Chicago at The Apollo Theater before traveling on to Barcelona's Tinta Roja Bar & Teatro May 25 thru 27, London's Canal Cafe Theatre June 9 thru 17, and The Pit Underground in New York.
Driving into Hollywood for the biggest, most important meeting of his life, Brody remembers his boyhood in Schuylerville, New York where he carried around comics tucked into “Crime and Punishment” and was a regular visitor to the principal’s office for challenging his teachers about the superiority of democracy. Witty, inventive, always playful, Brody revisits his absurdist childhood where the mayor acknowledged the family by amending the sign at the town’s border: “Welcome to Schuylerville, Population 984... and some Jews” onto his life as a comic in LA.In a In a town where success and fame is constantly almost happening, Brody's uplifting and hilarious stories combine passion and heartbreak with unique humor to leave us with a spark of hope at the intersection of art and commerce.
Performer and award-winning writer Dylan Brody is one of America’s leading humorists. TV appearances include A&E’s Comedy on the Road, FOX TV’s Comedy Express and Showtime’s The Green Room. Brody opened for fellow humorist David Sedaris on the West Coast and was called “brilliant” by Robin Williams.
