This class is designed to help the actor approach auditions and callbacks with confidence and a skillful approach to the work. Learn the tools needed to tackle monologues, audition sides, cold readings, interviews, and more. Learn the skills used to combat fear and anxiety that comes with auditioning. Learn how to use what you’ve got and make it work for you. Learn how to search for and book auditions, agents, managers, and more. Come to the first day with a memorized monologue for immediate coaching and your most recent headshot and resume for feedback.

Geovonday Jones is a New York City-based actor, director, and coach. Most recently, he directed Stephen Adly Guirgis’ Motherfucker with the Hat and Suzan-Lori Park’s In the Blood. Other Credits: Jag Fest 4.0’s workshop, Irondale‘s production of Lynn Nottage’s Sweat (Brucie), Waterwell’s Ajax (Ensemble), Ancram Opera House’s production of Tarell Alvin McCraney’s The Brother Size (Ogun), New Works Brooklyn’s staged reading of Nambi Kelley’s Translation of Likes (Too Legit To Quit). Regional: Detroit’67, Peter and the Starcatcher, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Rumors, and Uncle Vanya. Geo has an MFA in Acting.
