About the show
Lessons With Lola tells the story of Lily, a grandmother with Dementia living in her daughter’s home and documents a little bit of what families encounter on a daily basis with a loved one who has the disease. Combined with a little bit of Filipino family-style love and advice, an evening with Lola is just what everybody needs.
Lessons With Lola is written, produced, and performed by Ashley Rapuano. Direction and dramaturgy by Kerry Ipema.
Visiting your grandma is always an adventure. Come visit Lily for a day, your favorite Filipino grandma, and get a hearty helping of rice, stories, and advice!
*Not for the faint of heart.
*Not for people who don’t like rice.
*Just kidding, your Lola will love you no matter what!
