About the class

Building on the foundations of “Beginners Sketch Writing: Level 1 ,” students will experience the ins-and-outs of a full sketch writing process complete with in-depth personal feedback and an emphasis on finding each writer’s individual comedic voice. By the end of this class, students will have taken a sketch from pitch, to script, to live performance!

Students will learn best practices for pitching ideas, collaborating in a writer’s room environment, refining sketches across several drafts, directing and workshopping their sketches with a cast of actors from our “Acting for Sketch and Scripted Comedy” class, and presenting those sketches for a live audience at the PIT.
