NYC Solocom 2021: McLendon | Fernandez | Misaghi | Fulton

The Peoples Improv Theater proudly announces the return of NYC Solocom, livestreaming Thursday, June 3rd – Sunday, June 6th.

NYC Solocom has launched over 400 new solo comedies that have gone on to longer runs, tours and festivals around the world (including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.)

NYC Solocom is a festival of new solo work. All shows presented are 75% – 100% new material, and are created specifically for the festival. NYC Solocom’s goal is to push artists to create a show that is meaningful, personal and to follow the fear.

Enjoy these daring, original solo performances from the comfort of your own home, via the PIT livestreams on Youtube Live.

6pm EST – Ryan McLendon: “Thanks, Gay Divorce”

Remember that scene in Jurassic Park where Jeff Goldblum says the scientists “were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they never stopped to think if they should?” The same adage applies to my gay marriage.

6:35pm EST – Miguel Fernandez: “The Improv Rascals Super Fun Spectacular”

Queens’ own Miguel, his many alter egos & his favorite muppet, Arlo put together a fast paced wacky show for your comedic enjoyment!

6:55pm EST – Afsheen Misaghi: “Yeah, I’m From FROM There”

Growing up a brown man in Appalachia is a lot to process…but hell, Afsheen will give it a try in 20 minutes! With a mix of stories, improv, stand up, and sketch, buckle in for an eccentric and exciting time. If you have ever heard the question “No, where are you from from??” this show is for you!

7:20pm EST – Elizabeth Fulton: “Leave A Message After The BEEEEEEEEEEP”

Storytelling through the lens of unreturned voicemails. When’s the last time you’ve received a voicemail? Listened to a voicemail? Returned a voicemail? We will explore the time before voicemails only screened scammers.

EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT: Tickets are only $4.99 until May 31st!

Festival passes available. Passholders will gain access to all twelve NYC Solocom show blocks.
