Bring an original sketch script, and get quick, applicable feedback on how to take it to the next level. Workshop new sketch material and hear your work read out loud in a supportive writer’s room environment.  Or, just bring an idea you’re working on and we’ll workshop it together. If you’d simply like to listen and participate without bringing material, you are welcome to audit.

To participate in this drop-in class, please:

– Prepare an original comedy sketch, no more than 3 pages long, using standard screenplay format. If you don’t have a completed script, you’re also welcome to bring an outline, a half-finished script, or a pitch. If you just want to participate in the writer’s room for practice, instead of bringing a piece of your own material, that’s great too!

– Print out copies of your sketch. One copy for the instructor, one for the writer, and one for each character (double-sided printing is encouraged!).

– Bring a device or notebook to take notes on, and bring a pen or pencil to mark up your script with.

–  Come with a positive attitude, ready to give and accept feedback.

Let’s have some fun and get into it!
