In 1983, after taking a weekend intensive with Del Close in Detroit, Del approached Richard and asked if I’d move to Chicago and help him further develop an improvisational long form he called “The Harold.” 2 weeks later, he found himself in a dark, dank theater working with the iconic guru and some of the best improvisers in the world.

In this workshop we will go back in time to those days and the original structure of The Harold. There will be very little discussion and the vast majority of time will be on stage working, exploring and playing. We’ll work on the Opening, the Structure (scenes, monologues, games & transitions) and hopefully, just hopefully, Harold shows up.
