We'd be pleased if you could attend this salon of comedic improvised theatrical performance showcase. Phil & I Phil & I are a longform improv duo comprising Phil Wells and J Hobart B, whose fast, loose, smart-yet-stupid style has been compared favorably to the Marx Brothers, vintage vaudeville and 1940's cartoons. These laff-a-minute gagsters have played stages all over New York City and, indeed, all over the east coast. They were the grand winners of the 2009 Queen of Sharks Improv CHOMPetition, TINY Award winners for Best Improv Group, and their performance at The 34th Annual J Hobart B Christmas Spectacular made Steve Kornstein say "That was the best thing I've ever seen on the PIT stage." Don't miss your chance to see them before they are both killed in a tragic and unforeseen turbine accident.

Level 2: Scenework
Instructor: Ashley Ward
This class will help you create great scenes that engage the audience. Students will learn and practice techniques for starting scenes, enhancing and enriching scenes, finding yourself when you feel lost, and creating characters that are completely unique. There will be a final graduation performance at The PIT for friends, family and others. Check it out!

- Practice Improv For Free
The PIT is the only theater in the country that gives students 5 opportunities a week to practice improv/stand-up and sketch for FREE infront of a live audience: The Sketch Lab (Mondays at 11pm), Bring It! (Tuesdays at 11pm), Improdome (Wednesdays at 11:15pm), New Team Lunacy (Thursdays at 11pm) or Happy Hour (Fridays at 6pm).
- Free Shows
Students can see any show at The PIT for FREE during the duration of their class (as long as seats are available)
- Internships/Work Study Available
Students have the option of applying for an internship here at the PIT. In exchange, you can take an Improv class for $50!
- Referrals
If you refer a new student, you will receive $50 off your next class, or $30 in cash! (Valid on Improv classes only. Not valid for electives or writing classes.)
