The Peoples Improv Theater is thrilled to present the 12th Annual INDIE-pendence Day Fest. The longest running Indie Improv Festival in NYC was originally created by Student Driver & hosted by The PIT.

We are Shewitt! We do a romantic-comedy, awkward meet-cute homage through a monoscene, many times with 4+ characters inhabiting a world not dissimilar to this one. Join us for the date of a lifetime. Hey, It’s improv! Anything can happen!

Two Hands Clapping
Watch worlds arise and then spectacularly and hilariously collide! Richard Gottesman and Carole Real perform their unique brand of funny and inventive short long-form duoprov. Grounded yet silly, their act is smart, original and never predictable. “We are committed to duoprov…as it makes it much easier to find a time when we can all meet.”

Feds with Benefits
Investigating the inscrutable mysteries of adulthood, from a living room into a montage – we will get to the bottom of this thing called life. (Team = Alex Loh, James Navan, Willie Zabar, Theresa Rush, Brennard Gamboa and Amy Powell)

From Musicals to Long from, fantastic to dramatic, the Rocambolesque can make you travel different timeline and universe. Always in for some challenges, it’ll be the first time we’ll play together and in English !

Our goal is to foster community, play, and highlight some of the best Indie Improv from around the globe! It will feature Special Guests, Jams, and a Barbecue Picnic!
Spanning 2 days, the festival is your team’s chance to follow the fear, take the leap, and put yourselves in front of an audience! Teams that debuted at IndieFest have gone on to successful runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Off-Broadway, and more!
