The Peoples Improv Theater is thrilled to present the 12th Annual INDIE-pendence Day Fest. The longest running Indie Improv Festival in NYC was originally created by Student Driver & hosted by The PIT.

Smalltown Anarchy Misfits
Smalltown Anarchy Misfits are an amalgam of voices loud, uncertain, caustic, provocative, neurotic, and straight up cray with one common goal: ANARCHY! We are the local townies and self-proclaimed protectors of hamlets across the world. We’ve always been here, we are the underbelly of discordant order. We know the history, the secrets, and the offenders of autonomy. We also know the Oxford comma, and it will prevail when all elitists and fascists have been chased out of town! No we may not even know what anarchy means, but that’s besides the point. The point is we need something to do and by God we’re gonna do it!

(Disclaimer: Anarchy is a contagion that may threaten to eschew its very own members. We shall not be held collectively or individually responsible for cannibalistic outcomes).

Up to No God
Up to No God performs their fast and loose version of a Spokane, with a focus on blowing out the comedy and following the fun to its peak.
Our goal is to foster community, play, and highlight some of the best Indie Improv from around the globe! It will feature Special Guests, Jams, and a Barbecue Picnic!
Spanning 2 days, the festival is your team’s chance to follow the fear, take the leap, and put yourselves in front of an audience! Teams that debuted at IndieFest have gone on to successful runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Off-Broadway, and more!
