PREREQUISITE: YOU MUST HAVE COMPLETED LEVEL 1 IMPROV OR EQUIVALENT AT ANOTHER COMEDY THEATER TO QUALIFY FOR THIS CLASS. In the comment section of Checkout, please list when you took said classes and who your instructors were.

If you fail to meet the prerequisites for this course and continue to register anyway, we will have to transfer you out and add the balance as class credit, to be used for other classes.

In level 2 you will continue to focus on strong listening and reacting without interrupting your scene partner. Making sure the beginning of your sentence doesn’t get in the way of the middle of theirs. You will reinforce saying “Yes, and…!” Until you have to say “no thank you”. You’ll also get a comprehensive understanding on how to edit your scenes as an improviser, in partnered and group scenes.

Personal, truthful, monologues will also be part of the tool box that will benefit all aspects of life and performance. Editing will be introduced so performers know when it’s time to enter a scene and edit a scene with walk on’s and sweep edits.
