The HERlarious Show
HERlarious is a variety show featuring a core and rotating cast of the funniest female-identifying comics in sketch, improv, stand-up and musical acts in New York Pretty. Oops, I mean, New York City 🙂
Since 2018, Rachel Strauss-Muniz, the show’s Creator and Producer, has been on a mission to recruit the boldest women in comedy here in NYC, to form together and elevate our voices in comedy–a funny land filled with many, many comics of the opposite sex. HERlarious has now become a female empowerment institution where the cast members (former and current) continue to build partnerships, mentor one another, and continue to collectively elevate our voices in what is still an underrepresented field for women.
This ever-expanding militia of funny women represent the different schools and stages of the comedy world. Cast members have performed and/or write for Netflix, Ziwe, Desus & Mero (Showtime), Entre Nos (HBO Latino) Like, Share, Dimelo! (Fuse Network), The Drew Barrymore Show (CBS), Nickelodeon, Sesame Street Workshop, The Onion, Broadway Video, JFL Festival, Toronto Sketch Fest, The Upright Citizens Brigade, People’s Improv Theatre, the comedy club circuit of NYC, YouTube, Instagram, and more!
Digital episodes of The HERlarious Show are available on our YouTube channel, and on the Rizzle comedy app, where we secured a nine mini-episode deal.
Are the men allowed? OF COURSE! We welcome the support of our male allies in the audience. However, the show really is all about the ladies – from our flyer designer, to the stage hands, actors, directors and writers – we are here to move the needle for women in comedy EVERYWHERE.
Sketchfest is back! This is the 9th annual festival and first time back since 2019 (you know because of that pandemic thing). NYC Sketchfest is New York City’s premier sketch comedy festival and one of the nations largest. This years festival is focused on highlighting local, national, old, and new sketch teams and bring them all together again! This 4-day sketch-tacular programming that will not only include incredible sketch shows, but panel discussions, writer’s rooms, and more!
