The Peoples Improv Theater proudly announces the 10TH ANNUAL SOLOCOM!
SOLOCOM NYC has launched over 400 new solo comedies that have gone on to longer runs, tours and festivals around the world (including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.)
SOLOCOM NYC is a festival of new solo work. All shows presented are 75% – 100% new material, and are created specifically for the festival. SOLOCOM’s goal is to push artists to create a show that is meaningful, personal and to follow the fear.

Claire Kane/ Heartthrob
A one woman show taking the audience through my cortisol addiction, sexsomnia, and why I was prescribed (by a real live doctor) to masturbate more.

Olivia Medley/ Tight Lipped
Tight Lipped is a solo show mixing in anecdotes and song parodies detailing my sexual awakening and my struggle with vaginismus. I start all the way from first learning what sex is and how my Catholic upbringing affected that to what it’s like now being nearly 2 years married.

Seann Cantatore/ In Order to Not Work a 9 to 5
In Order to Not Work a 9 to 5 follows Seann Cantatore’s financially inconsistent and semi-chaotic lifestyle as a self-employed musician and comedian in NYC. Join Seann on this musical rollercoaster ride through the streets of NYC, where every day brings a new opportunity to laugh, learn, and embrace the unconventional. In Order To Not Work a 9 to 5 is a refreshingly honest and entertaining exploration of the pursuit of passion, one gig at a time.
