Non-conforming Waifu – KILARA SEN
Three years ago, Kilara Sen, a bold Japanese female comedian leapt to New York, ready to reveal the truths about Japanese women and society while empowering survivors and shattering stereotypes. Kilara, a hikikomori (shut-in) survivor and HBCU (American black college) alumna, also takes on harassment by another symbol of Japanese power: the middle-aged man. BALL BOY – BEN FISHER
Ben Fisher’s (mostly) stand up special explores the rules of the game of life, sports, family, and musical theater. It is a gay son-of-an-umpire’s top and bottom of the inning look at the outer-bounds of masculinity, the cycle of life, and the big game in the sky. Creatively I want to weave storytelling with stand-up comedy, photos from my life, and even an original comedic lullaby about me as a little gay boy in little league to explore and heal my notions of masculinity, what it means to be a player, and what it means to be in the game. BALL BOY is a son to father 7th inning stretch, a tapestry not unlike a…baseball glove? To catch all of…this? Stand up comedy, musical.

How Sex Ruined My Life – PIYALI SYAM
“How Sex Ruined My Life” is a solo show about my complex relationship with sexuality as a South Asian woman. The show follows my experiences with sex from growing up in a conservative South Asian household to having two abortions, being disowned by my family, and being cyberbullied and slut shamed by former partners, friends, and on social media. My creative goal for the show is to use my stories as a pointed lens that examines the stigmas around women’s health and sexuality in an extremely funny and engaging way.

A BBL Changed My Life – WILLONIUS HATCHER
A BBL Changed My Life” is a bold and comedic exploration of the chaos and creativity that comes with internet fame. Inspired by the viral success of his AI-generated parody song, “BBL Drizzy,” Willonius Hatcher aka King Willonius takes audiences on a journey through the surreal world of social media, rap beefs, and cultural commentary, all while dissecting what it means to navigate the intersection of humor, technology, and identity. Combining laugh-out-loud storytelling, AI-enhanced multimedia, and sharp insights into the internet’s power to amplify the absurd, this show is a love letter to creativity, Black culture, and the ability to turn the unexpected into art. King Willonius aims to use this performance to push the boundaries of solo comedy while connecting with audiences in an entirely new and innovative way
