The Tilly Driscoll Show – AIMEE SINCLAIR
Tilly Driscoll is a Southern Belle with a wit that won’t quit but you wish she would! A fictional talk show host of the 90s, Tilly gives life advice as she’s pivoting to being a woman of the people. Tilly is performed by Aimee Sinclair, a stand up comic and improviser based in Portland, OR who has performed in Ha Ha Harvest Festival, Treefort Comedy Festival, and Last Best Comedy Fest.
Confessions of an Autistic Barbie – AMY POWELL
Which word is more surprising to hear me confess about myself?
That depends whether you’re wondering why someone so weird would ever want to be plastic, or how an anxious over analytical person with questionable social instincts could look so confident. However you slice it, as an amateur social scientist, actor, writer, and costume designer I’ve been able to improvise my way through a wide range of roles from teenage outcast to corporate vice president. Come hear about my favorites and join in some audience Q & A. Nothing is too awkward for this set.
Chaos Theory – BETH ANN POWERS
Chaos Theory (Working Title) is a trunk-theater-style sketch show featuring an off-the wall blend of character pieces; elaborate, on-stage costume changes; and musical comedy. This performances will be my first experiment into combining my one-off character pieces into a full-blown solo sketch show. While my main goal is to explore format, I also plan on using this as a chance to get some new material on it’s feet, as well as re-test one or two older scripts that are currently in need of revision.
A Shot Of Courage – JOHN MEEHAN
This is a fun clown inspired story on what positive things can happen when you take a shot of courage in an effort to live a life of no regrets al through the body of a Jester. At the end of the day we are people that love to have fun and make people enjoy their time here and the Jester does it at a 10 on the fun meter. The Jester was born in LA during his time at Second City Hollywood and had the privilege of opening for Jetzo & Ithamar during their premium show run @ Second City Hollywood and also performed at The Pack theatre and on the Catsby Show. But it’s time for the Jester to introduce himself and perform for the great people of New York City. He’s recruited the help of a Noir Detective to show him the lay of the land of the streets within the Big Apple. I’m taking a shot of courage and leap of faith by submitting this but it’s time I get back to having fun and bring back this physical comedy/clown solo piece. I have very minimal tech other than a song that plays during the Jester piece. No light cues other than lights up, lights down and I don’t use any props except for two different hats for my characters.
Cost of Kissing – LISA WHITTEN
Kissing burns calories. It decreases stress. It even helps keep your teeth healthy. But there can be a price to pay. From the death of Mr. Pinkie to the loss of Pony, Cost of Kissing follows Lisa on her journey of tongue-twisters as she tries to figure out if the butterflies are worth it.
