A dissection of ytness through the lens of Godzilla Starring Uncle Dick, this piece unfolds a family trauma through the apologetic and reformed racist Uncle Dick. Through his obsession with Godzilla he begins to understand the monstrosity of ytness, bigotry, and oppression that lives inside himself. Using a homemade Godzilla puppet Uncle Dick fuses bombastic physical comedy, audience interaction, and song to skewer white people’s relationship to their ytness and schmear the truth of it’s origin for all to remember.
