At The PIT, we have a core Stand Up curriculum consisting of Levels 1-3. If you are interested in completing our core Stand Up curriculum, you must complete all 3 levels in this order: Level 1, Level 2, Level 3.
*NOTE: For Levels 2-3, you MUST write in the “CHECKOUT COMMENTS” the dates you took the required prerequisites and who your instructor was. If you fail to meet the prerequisites for this course and continue to register anyway, we will have to transfer you out and add the balance as class credit, to be used for other classes.*
Stand Up classes that are not level based fall under our elective classes. Elective classes are available to students in any stage of their Stand Up journey unless otherwise notated in the class description. Some Elective classes require a certain completion of our core curriculum.
In this characters class, you'll explore writing and creating characters for comedic performances.
More of a guide than a conventional class, this goal-oriented program will get you up there doing stand up for the first time.
No pressure stand up. Dip your toe into the joyous pool of stand up- 0% fear, 100% fun. This is the perfect place for absolute beginners to get acquainted with the art of stand up comedy, as well as experts to hop in and get your reps in. It’s the perfect spoonful of stand up, come have a taste! Please note that there is no graduation show for this class.
