From Tiktok to Instagram Reels, short-form comedy videos have exploded onto the market in the last 10+ years, proving them to be an effective and entertaining way to not only reach a larger audience beyond the stage, but create pathways to lucrative careers for content creators. As comedic writers and performers, social and digital platforms are an essential tool for allowing you to share your work to a broader audience and build your career.

This class will go over all aspects of what makes a successful sketch comedy digital video, from strategy and development, to budgeting and production, plus post-production, marketing, distribution and more. During this workshop we’ll go over best practices, helpful tips, debunk popular myths and review real life case studies. Students will also have an opportunity to receive detailed feedback and direction on their own videos and pitches.
