ShoeFly is an improvised comedy duo consisting of comedian/writers Abby Sher (Second City, The N.Y. Times) and Dion Flynn (TheTonight Show, The Moth). ShoeFly welcomes veteran improv performers to share this fast-paced and hilarious hour.
ABBY SHER: A former whiny kid turned prolific writer and performer. She’s collaborated with The Second City, The Upright Citizen’s Brigade, HBO, Nick Jr., and NPR. Abby authored five books and her essays have appeared in major publications like The New York Times and The New Yorker. She’s the co-host of the Chucklepatch Comedy Show, and her upcoming book “Sanctuary” is co-written with activist Paola Mendoza.
DION FLYNN: Cited by Oprah Magazine as “one of our favorite creative thinkers…”, improvisor, comedian, actor, writer and army veteran Dion Flynn, is best known as Barack Obama (and other characters) with over 100 appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. As founder of “The Improvisor’s Mindset,” Dion Flynn fuses his improv background with personal development insights, offering strategies for cultivating an improvisational mindset applicable to communication, creativity, and problem-solving.
