SOLOCOM NYC is a festival of new solo work. All shows presented are 75% – 100% new material, and are created specifically for the festival. SOLOCOM’s goal is to push artists to create a show that is meaningful, personal and to follow the fear.

Matt Higgins/ A Few Words About
With nothing much else in common, other than their brokenness and the fact their paths crossed that of the dead guy’s, five regular blokes, at his wake, share a few words about the deceased, a lovable everyman who was capable of so much more.
Sally Hourigan/ You’re All Staring at My Boobs Now
In 2022, I had breast reduction surgery. I went from an H cup (or, more accurately, an H cup on the right and a G cup on the left,) to a C cup overnight. This experience changed my life in so many ways. It improved my quality of life, took away back and neck pain that I’d suffered for years, and brought me closer to accepting, and maybe even loving my body for the first time. I workshopped a solo show about my surgery in Adam Wade’s class at the Magnet, and several women approached me after the class show to share their own stories about cosmetic surgery. This inspired me to share my journey; to let others who struggle with body acceptance know that if body modification will bring them closer to self-love and acceptance, there’s nothing wrong with that.
Nick Hornedo/ Main Character Energy
Nick Hornedo thinks he’s the main character, which is why at the age of 18, he broke up with his high school girlfriend in the most creatively cringe way possible. Find out how in this painfully honest stand-up show about young love and the perils of living your life like a movie.
Karla Mellett/ Ooh Ouch Yeesh

Mental illnesses that the patient had developed with time and what led them there. Topics like jobs and work, COVID, evolution, and my A.I boyfriend will be discussed.
