Dave Klasko/ The Dangers of Smoking Marijuana
On any given day at the Gowanus Learning Society, anyone is welcome to give a lecture on the topic of their choosing. But this is not any day. This is a bad day for our speaker. A day where, despite his best efforts, he can’t help but get a few things off his chest. Loosely based on “The Dangers of Tobacco” by Anton Chekhov, this one act takes the old premise down the long (and very winding) road of life, love, art, and all the trivial stops in between.

Emily Weitzman/ Furniture Boys
In FURNITURE BOYS, written/performed by Emily Weitzman and directed by Rachel Resnik, a woman does not feel seen or heard by her boyfriends. The problem is that her boyfriends are couches, chairs, lampshades, and futons. Through an infatuation with furniture boys, we unmask a fixation on time and death and art and relationships, on that which lasts and that which doesn’t. (Furniture endures; boyfriends—not necessarily; we’re all going to die but the furniture won’t!) This humorous and absurd personification of furniture leads to larger questions of love, art, certainty, and obsession: How to have faith in the structural integrity of a chair, a relationship, an artistic project, a self?  Blending the worlds of theater, comedy, clown, spoken word, and furniture showroom, FURNITURE BOYS examines the immortality of inanimate objects and the mortality of a woman determined to fuck the furniture before oblivion—or, at least, before the couch clearance.

Taylor Graves/ So Fun
A collection of fun Characters from all the fun jobs Taylor has had — all together in one fun place.
Jonathan Cohall/ Live in Concert…for 5 Minutes!
Jonathan Cohall: Live in Concert…For 5 Minutes” is the shortest Stand-Up special of all time.  Get ready for a jocose jaunt as Jonathan jumps right into the raunchiest, most riotous material you’ve ever heard.  All fluff no substance.  It’s an amuse-bouche of comedy guaranteed to whet your appetite and leave you craving more!

Jaiya Victoria/ Presidential Rap Battle

I Want to do a Show where I Perform all the Songs that leads the Audience through a small tour of Our Country’s “Top Players” in Politics…but with a fun + entertaining twist.
(Selections include “Gettin’ Senile wit it” by Joe Biden, + “Without Me” [Eminem] by Trump.)
David Puck/ AI Love You: The Musical
Solo, queer, narrative musical comedy about recently-dumped George, who falls in love with an AI-Boyfriend app, with disastrous consequences.
The style is silly, absurd and playful, whilst having a deep emotional core. It reflects on issues like para-social relationships and our current era of post-truth digital-technology.
The show utilises video and audio recordings to create a multiple-character narrative, but with just 1 solo stage performer.
Written and performed by David Puck Instagram @DavidPuckDrag – experienced performer in drag, improv, standup, cabaret and musical theatre.
